Secondary School Transfer

Westfield Academy is a non-selective school that converted to Academy status in September 2012. This was on the back of an OFSTED inspection in November 2012, where we were judged “Good” in all areas. This reflected the huge improvements we have made over the last 5 years. During that time the Academy has gone from strength to strength the exams results for the students have consistently improved with 70% of them achieving A*-C in English and 72% in Maths in 2014. This is as a result of high standards, hard work and commitment.

We are all delighted to be part of the Governments Priority Schools Build. This means that starting in 2015 Westfield will be rebuilt. We will have a modern "State of the Art" school which we and the community can be proud of.  This will give our students the resources and facilities that they deserve.

The school supports 1150+ pupils aged 11-19 from multi-cultural backgrounds.

Entrance Requirements

Unlike some other schools in the area, the school does not set any prerequisites for entrance; selection is carried out according to Hertfordshire LEA guidelines.

Due to a significant increase in performance over the last few years, it is expected that applications this year will exceed the number of places available and that parents who do not select Westfield Academy as one of their options may well not be offered a place at the school.
