About our Sixth Form

The Westfield Academy ethos of high expectations and individual care and support continues into our Sixth Form.

We have a large, popular Sixth Form which offers a broad curriculum with a wide range of A-Level and Vocational courses. Our students are provided with the best opportunities possible.

  • Calling all parents! Join us for our next Parent workshop on how to improve literacy and a love of reading at home!   • We were fortunate today to have Elevate Education come and work with our Year 11 students. The presenters took students through ideas and exercises to help grow their exam confidence, strategies for them to use in the coming weeks and months leading up to their exams and some fun demonstrations on exactly why we sometimes can't seem to learn. Students enjoyed the sessions and definitely found the ideas useful. They can't wait to get started on using on what they've learnt today ready for the next set of mock exams in February. Well done year 11!

  • This evening started basketball season for our year 7's with their first game vs Bushey Meads. The team have worked hard at training and showed off some amazing skills and teamwork. Unfortunately not the result we wanted but a promising first game and the only way is up! Player of the match was Denzel with the most points and superb dribbling. #basketball

  • Today, we hit the ground running. Students were able to learn what studying law at university is like, Russell Group Universities are and speak with our in-house Careers Lead about setting goals and objectives for future careers. A few also got to have some fun inflating and hanging up balloons in celebration of our unique week.   • This morning alongside the sixth form team and the head of Science we met with some of our high achievers in year 11 to celebrate their mock results and to look to the future for what they have planned for Sixth Form. Students all enjoyed cookies and a chat, whilst receiving revision booklets and the next steps will be taking to ensure their success - Well done to all our year 11's keep up the good work!
